CRASH SIMULATION ENGINEER (m/f/d)

Hamburg

Welcome to encass GmbH!

We bridge the gap between pioneering technology, digital innovation, and first-class service. Yet, what truly drives us isn't just processes and algorithms—it’s the people behind them. We firmly believe that outstanding results are achieved only when personal appreciation is put into practice and every voice counts. A work atmosphere that brings out the best in each of us forms the foundation of our shared success.

To strengthen the development team within our Engineering Services division, we are seeking a passionate individual who will use their expertise in simulation and analysis to elevate passive safety and occupant protection in next-generation vehicles and aircraft to a new level.

  1. You will conduct and oversee stiffness analyses and crash simulations for the development of critical lightweight structures (e.g., chassis or seats).
  2. You will analyze and evaluate simulation and test results and coordinate effective technical optimization measures.
  3. Furthermore, you will assess and document your analysis results and present them convincingly within the product development process.
  4. You will develop innovative improvement measures and topology optimizations for weight reduction while ensuring compliance with all safety-critical requirements.

Your Profile

  1. You hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field, with a specialization in mechanics/analysis.
  2. You possess solid knowledge of advanced strength of materials, the Finite Element Method (FEM), and lightweight structural design.
  3. You are proficient in using standard crash and analysis tools (e.g., LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH, Abaqus, or Altair Radioss) as well as the corresponding pre- and post-processors (e.g., HyperMesh, ANSA, META).
  4. Ideally, you have gained practical experience in structural or crash simulation within the automotive, aerospace, or high-end rail vehicle sectors.
  5. Your approach is structured, solution-oriented, which allows you to quickly grasp complex physical relationships.
