RAMS Engineer (m/f/d)

Our customers develop and manufacture mobile and stationary life support systems that ensure the survival of rescue teams in extreme environments and hostile environmental conditions. Your work ensures that these systems are always fully available and operate reliably.

Your Tasks

1. You conduct RAMS analyses (e.g., FMEA, FMECA, FTA) for complex systems and components throughout the entire product lifecycle.
2. You create safety cases, hazard analyses, and safety documentation according to relevant standards.
3. In addition, you calculate and optimize RAM metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, availability) to reduce lifecycle costs (LCC).
4. As a central interface between product development and system operators, you advise design teams and end customers, in close coordination with experts and regulatory authorities.
5. The enhancement of internal safety and quality standards in systems engineering is also part of your responsibilities.

Your Profile

1. You hold a university degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics) or a comparable technical qualification.
2. You also have sound professional experience in RAMS engineering or functional safety management.
3. You are proficient in using analytical methods (fault trees, reliability block diagrams) and corresponding software tools.
4. You possess good knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as EN 50126, ISO 26262, or IEC 61508.
5. You are characterized by analytical thinking, a structured approach to work, and strong communication skills.
6. Excellent written and spoken German and English skills complete your profile.
